Does Oxycodone Come Without Acetaminophen And Tylenol

Help!! I go to pain management once a month. Been on Hydromorphone (8mgs.3x's a day) for about a year. Not helping much at all for quite a while! I'm On Hydromorphone cause I have Hep C. My question is: does Oxycodone come without acetaminophen and Tylenol?

I have seizures and can't take acetaminophen so I needed to make sure this was true before starting use of this

AF Waldron, no they are not the same.

Percocet is specifically the combined formulation of Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. One manufactured also calls it Roxicet.

Percodan is specifically the one with Aspirin and Oxycodone.

Oxycodone alone is known by the name brands Oxycontin (which is the time released formulation), Roxicodone (which is the regular release formulation) and OxyIR (which is the instant release formulation).

And Lisa, no. If it did, it would list a second dosage.

You'd need 21.33mgs of the Oxycodone to equal your 24mgs of the Hydromorphone.

Oxycodone can be called Percocet or Percocat one is aspirin and one is Tylenol. The actual Ocycodone I take is the one without any of them because I can't take any of those. So I take 5 mg 3 a day when I have an RA flare. Right now I have shingles so all bets are off. I am taking 10 mg 2ce a day.
In sum: one has aspirin, one has Tylenol and one has nothing added.

Thank you, Verwon, for your reply. You can help me something else. I take 8mg. of Hydromorphone 3x's a day. What mg. of oxycodone & how many a day would be equal to my daily dose of Hydromorphone?

Tylenol is just a name brand for Acetaminophen, so they are the same thing.

And yes, Oxycodone is available by itself in instant release, regular release and time released formulations.

The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
