Does Nifedipine Cause Breast Cancer

I read nifedipine causes breast cancer. Is it true? It's supposed to be taken twice daily for high blood pressure.

Are you post-menopausal? That is when the greatest risk was found, though more research is needed to be sure of that and it seemed only relevant to calcium channel blockers, according to JAMA and the studies they have already compiled.

Thus, if you are concerned, you could always speak to your doctor about trying a medication that is in a different class, such as a beta blocker.

Is this the only medication you are taking?
