I'm sorry, I wish I could help, but I couldn't find any information on whether it does or not.

Most supplement products aren't tested for interactions with prescription medications, as is done with other prescription drugs. Usually any possible problems or side effects are derived from user reports.

Thus, in this case, the best thing I can suggest is that you check with your doctor, or pharmacist, before taking it to be safe.

Maca is just a vegetable in the broccoli family. I've been taking 145 mg of methadone per day and had horrific body temp problems. I started taking Maca root in American made capsules (Now Foods Inc) and my body temp has gone back to normal, I'm not sweating profusely, I don't have adrenal fatigue anymore and I started feeling the effects after a couple days of taking 500 mg of Maca, with food, 3 times a day. And every day since, I feel better and better.

I really want to get the word out to methadone patients only. Maca Root cured my methadone sweating and adrenal fatigue.

But, for those of you who are taking methadone recreationally, you should plan for your funeral or get funeral insurance. That way you're not screwing your family when you over-dose and stick them with the bill for your 'fun'.

On a side note, however, taking methadone from a clinic, has cured my Endorphin Deficiency, as well. That's why I've been dealing with the sweaty side effects and adrenal fatigue, instead of getting off methadone. If you "feel better" when you take it, you might want to research Endorphin Deficiency. Respond to my post with your email if you want to know more details. I think there's just as much endorphin deficiency as all the other brain chemistry disorders. If we've got serotonin deficiencies, then why not endorphin right? I think that's why we have so many opiate addicts today.

One more thing, methadone and Xanax definitely interact with one another. They both slow your breathing down quite a bit and if you look it up, Xanax mixed with methadone is the cause of most methadone related overdoses, especially those resulting in death. Taking the two together is just plain dangerous.

I see this is an old post but I just wanted to try to reach out to you. I was wondering how you were doing and if the Maca helped you? I recently bought the capsules from Amazon but have not tried them yet. I do have a high cortisol count and so I guess it is an adrenal problem. I have been attending the methadone clinic for 23 years and now I am trying to come down a few milligrams a week. Please respond if you get this post!
