Does Lyrica Affect The Liver

I have cryptogenic liver disease. It has been looking well for several years. Will lyrica damage it any further?

It is hard to say, most medications are processed by the liver and long-term use of them could cause damage.

Have you discussed this with your doctor or pharmacist?

i even had no idea that i even had a liverproblem it came out in a catscan that was to investigate my back...
so this is new i have a apptm with a liverdoctor 2 weeks from now...

I can't say I know the answer to this but when I asked my Pain Specialist if it will affect my liver, he told me it is not assimilated in the liver, it is filtered in the kidneys.
Someone on the other site told me I was misinformed but this is what my Specialist told me, if you can't believe him, who can you believe?
Ask you Specialist too, I would love another opinion.

That was me, and as it turns out, I was the one who was misinformed! Thank you for setting me straight gig! I saw Phizers breakdown of it, and you are correct. It is absorbed mainly by the kidneys. No, Lyrica is metabolized through the kidneys.
