Does Lisinopril Contain A Diuretic

My doctor took me off Lisinopril htcz because I became severely dehydrated. He put me on Metoprolol 100 mg and Doxazosin Mesylate 2 mg and now I'm losing my hair after being on these drugs for about 2 mos. I need to get off these drugs asap, is there another drug for high blood pressure that will not cause hair loss?

Hair loss is most commonly caused by Metoprolol, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Yes, you can get Lisinopril without the HCTZ, you can also take it with the Doxazosin, if your doctor thinks you need more than one medication to bring your blood pressure down. Thus, it's definitely worth your asking them about it. The side effects for these are very similar, minus the hair loss.
