Does Gabapentin & Nortriptyline Cause Weight Gain (Top voted first)

I take 900mg Gralise, 25mg Nortriptyline, 300mg Tramadol ER, 20mg oxycodone. I've taken all of this for six years. I have cried and complained about weight gain as soon as I started all of these drugs but my Dr. Keeps saying they don't cause weight gain! I'm a petite woman and was always fit and weighed about 107. Now I weigh a lot more, doesn't matter what I eat or don't eat, how much I walk or don't walk, it's been piling on a lot more lately. Do Gralise and or Nortriptyline cause more weight gain the longer you take it? Does it continue piling on the weight or does it eventually stop?

Does your pharmacy give you the information leaflets with your prescriptions?

If so, they usually include a list of the most common side effects, as well as the rare ones and yes, Gabapentin (Gralise) is very well known to cause weight gain, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and mood swings.

And yes, it tends to continue piling on the longer someone takes it.

Yes Gabapentin is known to cause weight I know quite a few people me included that took it and gained quite a bit of weight I gained a lot of weight
