Does Amoxicillin Have Pennicillin

I am allergic to pennicillin but have been prescribed amoxicillin. is this safe

They are two different medications, though distantly related. Thus, it would be best to check with your doctor or pharmacist to make sure that it's safe for you to take it.

Almost everyone that is allergic to Pennicillin gets prescribed either Amoxicillin or Clindamycin as they are also more refined medications.
