Does A 10 Day Use Of 100 Mgs Doxycycline Cause Hair Loss

Does doxycycline cause hair loss? I have been prescribed it (2 per day) for 10 days. Also is it better than azythromycin?

No, this antibiotic is not known to cause hair loss/alopecia, according to FDA reports, its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.

As to being better, none are better than another, the appropriate antibiotic depends on the type and severity of the infection that's being treated.
