I am having a hard time finding a dr in staten island NY. Even after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 3years ago& being prescribed oxycontin for almost 2 years my dr has moved his practice& no other doctors are willing to help me the same way my last doc was now with him not around& me off the meds I was on for so long my pain from MS has progressed I do have all mri's& documents that state I do have MS. Can I be helped??

Hello,
I just stumbled across this sight while looking for a Dr. in SW Michigan who will prescribe something for the pain of hip bursitis. I've had cortisone but it did not do much. I also have connective tissue disease and take plaquinal but only OTC for pain. OTC has never done much and I am barely functioning at work (HS teacher) the stairs have me in enough pain to wet myself. I live in berrien county where the Doctors will take your money, look you in the eye and tell you "I DON"T TREAT PAIN" WTF???
I don't abuse medicine and I feel that the lack of care is abusive.; at least on some level...no pain meds, but will prescribe BP meds. cuz the pain has the pressure close to stroke numbers. Thanks for reading...sorry to rammble. Lori

Call Dr. Nolan Tzou (631)-629-4770. He's compassionate (sees many patients w/ cancer), has 2 locations, one in Levittown and Huntington, you won't regret it. Good luck!

Hello diana, after I sent them all my info they told me they could not help. In there opinion i needed shots spine. That didn't make me smile. But never the less i am still in pain, and back to square one.i did read through the threads and picked up a number and is in Nassau county, our sister county. Just rough I let you know that was a bust but thanks so much for all your efforts to help me deal with pain. Thanks again. Kev

Dr tzao office is huntington. His nurse practitioner is way lenient w narcotics. However I am pretty sure u have to see dr tzao first before u can start seeing her. (It's his practice) google: dr nolan tzao and the NP name is Barbara Johnson
Make sure u have all Mris , reports , previous history etc. Also. ..dr tzao will also want to know what you've tried in past. He doesn't look into it to make sure it'd true. So u may want to tell him how you've tried every other alternative (non narcotics) and nothing worked. This way. ..His only resort is to give u opiates

I need a pain mgmt doctor to prescribe Fiorinal#3's 180/mnth, oxycodone 30mg 90+ and adderall in northern california, my former doctor had license revoked,
my injuries, spinal DDD, Jaw broken instruments, one loose in ear, lower right jaw, multiple oral surgeries, and cervical nerve impingement hands, arms go numb, difficulty walking, etc.
any help is appreciated, I am running out of meds. SF BAY AREA

I've had pain for years of hip arthrits and bulging discs. My Dr. recently got spooked about giving my pain meds (Vicoden) over the years and sent me to PM dr's. THey all want to inject me in the spine. The vicoden has helped me for years and I still take it as perscribed without taking more. Sometimes less. Please, if you know of some Dr's on Long Island (Nassau/Suffolk) not afraid to keep someone out of pain without going thru various medical and invasive proceedures, please let me know: {edited for privacy} Thank you so mcu
