Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication Maryland

I am in between primary Doctors. I got out of a nursing facility three weeks ago with only two to three days of pain meds. I can't see a Doctor until three weeks from now. I have stasis ulcers on my feet and Degenerative Arthritis which has progressed to bone on bone in both hips. Was on 4 mg Dilaudid,10mg Valium,60mgmorphine. First two were to help me sleep thru the night. Help Until I see the doctor!

Hello, Tony! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain.

Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A PCP can no longer prescribe them for you. Have you gotten in to see a doctor, yet?

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?
