Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication Ky

I was on lortab for 6 years. They stoppd workn and my doctor wouldn't raise or switch me to another med. Then he died. I starts getn pills off the street because I couldn't get another Dr fast. I went to local Dr and he talked me into suboxone. I stayed on that for 7 months but it wasn't helping with my pain. Great for the withdrawals though. That's been 4 years ago. I recently told I have carpal tunnel. I suffer from neck pain,knee pain.back pain and now my hands throb. It hard for me to clean my house or enjoy life. My problem is even though its beem 4 years can't find a Dr that will help. That same Dr told me he'd put me back on subs but I don't want them I need something for pain. Anybody know any drs n KY that will treat my pain after I took sub 4 years ago. It's awful people have to suffer BC of these KY laws. I'm lost and some days just feel like committing suicide. I'm so tired of hurting. Any suggestions appreciated and any drs u know of that may help. Thanks so much.

Hello, Robin! How are you? I'm very sorry about what you're going through. Please don't consider suicide, life is amazing and so very beautiful. It would be a dreary world without people like you in it.

If that doctor listed you as being on the Suboxone for addiction, that could be what is causing the problem. With that in your medical records, other doctors aren't going to want to prescribe you any possibly habit forming medications.

However, Suboxone is still a narcotic and does help some people with pain. Have you considered trying it to see what kind of pain control it will give you?

Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area that might help?
