Ive been taking methadone for 5 years finding it off the street because the clinics are very inconvienent. X addict been clean 5 years due to the methadone. also i have a serious ankle injury that causes severe pain

There is no listing of what doctor prescribes any specific medication.

And due to the new regulations that went into effect this year, if you require this type of medication for long-term treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist.

That said, most aren't going to want to prescribe Methadone, due to it having its own very highly addictive nature. That's why addiction treatment has been focusing on Suboxone, now. It actually enables most people to end up completely drug free, rather than requiring a lifetime maintenance dose.
