Marie,
I feel for your condition but methadone is one of the strongest pain medications on the market.Very few pain management doctors have any where to go from there.I would suggest you contact your local hospitals social service department as they can further assist you in obtaining a competent provider best equipped to handle your case.No one here is knowledgable to your specific area. Wishing you all the very best.
I need help finding a Dr. in n.j. who will prescribe methadone. I work and a clinic is not an option for me. I've already lost 2 jobs because of the clinic hours. I need help. thanx
I am in the same situation & my Dr stopped perscribing Methadone in which I have been taking for 10+years for my widespread pain. I have been through every physical routine and alternative medicine but Methadone is the only one that helps my pain.... I have also been prescribed much stronger meds, that after trying them... I refused them. Please help me find a pain clinic reasonably near me in 30125 zip,and thanks in advance for any help that you could provide. PS. I am over 60 yrs old & not looking for dope...Just relief
Lord, the first poster that knows what therectalking about. Finally someone else who knows methadone is extreamly strong. As a matter of fact most detox clinics if not almost all can do nothing for you Becouse suboxone and subutex won't barley touch methadone withdraw. Best way to detox of it is a very slow titration over a long time.
Don't take methadone if you can help it. It is far more dangerous than morphine, or synthetic morphines. Look it up on the internet, and read the reviews from users. I wouldn't take it on a bet.
Hello, Rich! How are you?
Due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis. PCPs are no longer able to prescribe such medications.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Have you tried asking your current doctor for a referral to someone that can help? That might be the easiest way to find the help yu need.
What is your general location? That would enable someone to suggest a good doctor in you area.
