If you are taking it for pain, then you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice physician won't be able to prescribe it for you and to find a new doctor, you won't be able to ask them up front if they'll prescribe Methadone, because doctors are taught to view that as being drug seeking behavior. You'll need to set up an appointment with a doctor, make sure they get a full copy of your medical records and then discuss your treatment options, while at your appointment.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
If you are taking it for addiction/maintenance treatment, you will have to go to a clinic, since law requires that it only be given for that in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use.
Can anyone suggest good doctor in that area?
