Doctors In Southern California That Will Prescribe Methadone

i have been on methadone for 18 years for pain from an auto accident and live out of country, MX....I need to find a doctor who will perscrible me for more thsan 30 days as it would be cost prohibiative to travel evey 30 days ...and I need to establish this link soon.

If you are now living in the United States, Pain Management Dr.s are who you would look for. I also can only take methadone for my pain. They do prescribe it in low doses for pain unless you may have a ton of previous paper work from before. I hate to tell you that at first they will only give you 1 month worth at a time. After I established myself with this Dr. For 8 months, he does give me 2 months now & I have heard that the law is only 3 months of individual prescriptions at a time. Each time you fill it, it has a date for when you can fill it again. You would have to get a friend to fill it & fed-ex it to you if you were out of the U.S. Horrible news but it is a schedule 2 narcotic in the States. It didn't quite understand where you are now? & you have to go back & forth from where to where? I just know the rules here & you can't refill RX from the Mainland in Hawaii, unless it is a transfer that is not a narcotic, even tho Hawaii is a U.S. state. If I understood better, I may be able to help more?

Haha! A Dr who will write for more than 30 days of methadone?! Good Luck! You would be lucky to find a Dr here to write a presciption for one day's worth of methadone, let alone a week! Not to mention, you are from Mexico and not even a US citizen. You would be better off finding Dr in Mexico.

Are there any Drs in Fresno ca that you know of that will prescribe methadone for an elderly person with chronic pain and some mental issues? Right now i've been at the same dr for 4 yrs and i get 4 10 mg pills a day; been on the same dose for 2 yrs, never had a dirty drug panel. I take one ever month but dr wont up my dose. my qauility of life is horrible cause i take my 4 in the morning and by 3:00 I'm sweaty, bones aching and i cant even go any where cause my pain is so bad i cant eat. I am not asking to feel high. I'm asking for a decent life, my clothes and hair r soaked even 50 degree weather. I cant deal with people. All i do is sit in my house and cry from pain and from hating this life style. I cant enjoy my grandson or family, nothing. im tired. I have Medicare and medical. I dont want to go on the methadone clinic which is what i had to do yrs ago before getting in this dr office but u see the regular dr i had for 4 yrs moved out of state so they gave me this dr.

I live in Mexico, but am a US citizen... Some people are just ****s when they reply...anywho thank you for your nice reply...yea I was afraid of that same situation in florida and SC where I use to live...they stopped making it here in Mexico so I am screwed it looks like...
