No, you should start with the white tablets and since you are not starting the first day of your period, you should use backup protection for the first full 7 days of taking the active white tablets.
The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and breakthrough bleeding.
