I was given doxycycl hycl by my doctor because I have some hair lost I have read some of the side effects now I am kind of scare to take this. from reading what others has said no one said anything about this drug in reference to hair lost just want to know if doxycycl hycl help with this problem.

No, the FDA classifies this medication as an antibiotic and it will only treat bacterial infections. It will do nothing to help with hair loss.
Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
Additionally, improper use creates the risk of your developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, which could be dangerous in the future.
