How do I discontinue use of Prevacid? Do I stop all at once or taper off?

This isn't a habit forming medication, so you should be able to just stop it, as long as your doctor approves.

However, as reported by the FDA, you may experience some rebound acidity for a week or so, if you stop it abruptly.
