Dilaudid And Tylenol Pm

I had surgery yesterday and have been unable to sleep. Can I take dilaudid and Tylenol PM together?

It is generally not advised, since they both can cause sedation, it could be too much for some people.

The FDA warns that Dilaudid carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

It also usually causes drowsiness, as a side effect.
