What reason did the pharmacist give for not filling it?
It could be that they don't carry the medication, they are worried about how much was prescribed, the doctor may be flagged in their system, the patient it was written for might be flagged in their system…. it's hard to say, but it is up to the discretion of the pharmacist.
The patient's option, of course, is to go try a different pharmacy.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
