Dilaudid is an opiate analgesic that contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone.

My mother in law is a cancer patient and she take these. its a pain killer. I have a birth defect in my neck and occasionally she will give them to me when I have a bad neck day and they definitely keep you awake and make you itch. I hope that helps a little.
