Different Types Of Wellbutrin Pills

I recently was prescribed wellbutrin and received little white pills labeled a102. Well last month insurance didn't cover them when I went to pay for my meds the pharmacist changed the pill to make it cheaper. I hate these ones and my insurance is back but they won't give me the other pills. How do I get them back or what would I specifically say to another pharmacy to make sure I get the ones I started with?

You have to ask your psychiatrist or prescriber to specify the brand of generic you want. It is honestly best to just call the pharmacy and ask if they have that specific generic in stock and if they will special order the generic for you. Then ask your insurance if they will cover it.

My best advice is to monitor the brand of generic you're on and how it affects you. The more details you can provide about the negative ways a certain generic affects you, the better. If the pharmacist dismisses your concerns, try to speak with another one and don't get discouraged. I've been lucky enough that my pharmacist understands and makes sure to order the specific generic manufacturer I want, which is Mylan. Unfortunately, Mylan has been out of stock frequently as of late. I'm now applying for the Direct Success Program for brand Wellbutrin XL so I don't have to worry about getting the specific generic brand I want every month. You can find out more about it here:
