That's what I did! I don't want to be a vegetable,simply existing. I've always been very active ,and,the pain these past years ,as,I become older,in my 60's,has been very debilating.I struggle,but,I want to enjoy life,as much as possible each day.Blessings to this person.Shame on the Dr. for what his part in this.

My goodness,I have had chronic pain and occipitol nerve disease or 4 years and my Dr.has never let me have more than 15mg.of imm release morphine sulfate,2x daily,in all these years.Do you have a terminal disease to cause the need for such plentiful and addictive medications?I feel sad for you.hope you're better soon.

My God. Are you terminal or something? I thought my 100mg mscontin (morphine er) was a lot. They're gonna find you like Heath Ledger, Whitney houston, Anna Nicole smith, etc. Dont get me wrong, not ur fault, but ur taking waaaaay too much narcotics. U should seriously cut back and find other pain mgmnt techniques. That's what I did.

you are taking a nice cocktail of drugs there. im surprised you are allowed to drive a car. you should decrease at least one of those. i would leave it as is.

I am currently taking 360 mg. of morphine sulfate CR per day, (2-60 mg. tablets, 3x a day) and 45 mg. of Oxycodone IMM for breakthrough pain (1-15.mg tablet, 3x a day) My new Pain doctor switched me to 1-60 mg. tablet of Kadian CR and up to 90 mg. of oxycodone IMM (1-2 tablets of oxycodone IMM 15 mg. 3 x a day) for breathrough pain.Isn't Kadian CR the same as morphine sulfate CR? I'm afraid I'll go into withdrawl if I begin taking the Kadian CR. Or, is the extra amount of breakthrough medicine going to make up the difference? Because the pharmacy was out of 60 mg. tablets of morphine sulfate, my PCP wrote my last prescription for 4-30 mg. tablets of Morphine sulfate ER, 3 x a day. I'm wondering if my new Pain Dr. saw the 30mg. tablets on the list of medicines I am currently taking, and thought I was taking less than I am. Should I call him?

Morphine is a narcotic analgesic.

The strength varies, depending on what formulation you are asking about.

For instance the extended release tablets are available in strengths of 15mg, 30mg, 60mg, 100mg and 200mg.

The regular release tablets come in 10mg, 15mg and 30mg.
