Difference Between Metoprolol Taeth And Tapar
UpdatedI was on metoprolol tapar then the pharmacy sent different pill. They sent metoprolol taeth. When I called they said that pill was no longer available and they were the same. Now months later they sent me tapar again with a little sticker attached saying it is the same pill just different shape. Please tell me is there a difference and if one is generic? Thank you

They are both generics, the only difference is the manufacturer. TAETH just stands for tablet manufactured by Ethex and TAPAR stands for tablet made by Parr.
HI, I have been taking Metoprolol since July . In the 7 months I have been taking it, they have changed the manufacturer three times. With such severe side effects, I don't care if it is the same pill, the filler is essential to the pill and how your body reacts to the pill. I was pretty upset the last time they changed the manufacturer because I was right in the middle of a big 3 day exam, and that was the last thing I needed. But actually what I noticed, I started to feel 100 percent better when I got on I think it is called TAB. The TAETH I was taking, I don't know what the problem was, but after about 3 months of taking it, I started to get really sick in December. Not only was I sick, but I passed out and had a sesure, while I was on the TAETH. Since I have been on the TAB, it has been like 3 days, I feel so much better. And I don't know, maybe I just needed a stronger pill. I didn't even think about manufacturer when I started getting sick. Does any one know anything else about the different manufacturers of this pill? Why do they produce by only certain manufacturers of the pill at different times? The pharmacist told me there was a recall on the Taeth. Does anyone know more information about that?
A different twist to the taeth vs tapar problem. My tachycardia was best controlled by Taeth 50 mg ER and now I can't get it...does anyone have any leftovers ???Will pay for cost and mailing.
I have been taking the 50 mg TAETH for several months and thought is was doing the job. Apparently not. BP was very high when checked. The pharmacy has changed the pill several times when being refilled and said it was the same drug. Refilled next day with metaprolol TAPAR (pharmacy was out of TAETH) after high BP reading. Amazingly, BP began to come down.Has anyone else had this experience.
I was taking Metropolol ER and the manufacturer changed and I develop side effects like frequent urination, feel tired and lose weight.
they changed my mothers meds 3 times in one week, this medication is one that one has to be extremely careful, I d suggest you take it to the pharmacy to personal confirm that your medicine is effective, this medication regulates the hearts beat
