Difference Between M Amphat Salts 30mg + Adderal Er 30mg

Which of the 2 are weaker+ don't work as well+have more side effects? My Dr. Is trying to tell me they are both the exactly the same. I donr feel this is true AT ALL!!! Very upset the pharmacy gave me the 30mg M -Amphat salts instead of the regular Adderal ER 30mg! THEY JUST PLAIN DON'T WORK

There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient between the name brand and the generic. They do allow them to differ by as much as plus or minus 20%, which is considered an acceptable therapeutic window.

For most people, however, there are no problems, but if you've been taking the name brand for a long time, or are sensitive to medications, then the generic may not work as well for you.

I am taking 60mg of amphetamine salts, 2 30 mg pills a day. I want to switch to 60mg adderall extended release and am seeing my doctor tomorrow which is 10 days before i would be refilling my normal script for the 2 30mg salts i take. If he prescribes me the extended release will i have to wait to fill it since i was already prescribed a months supply of the amph salts. So basically can i fill a script for the xr before my script is up for the Ir im taking ?

I have noticed a difference in the different manufactures. I have never had the actual adderal, I am always given a generic form. And I have gotten sick before depending on who the manufacture is. When I was first given this med I got very ill and hadn't done any research on the med. When I got sick I decided that I no longer wanted to have anything to do with this med. So I tossed the entire script in the garbage. Not realizing exactly what I was being given. A few years later I was given this med again and didn't realize it was the same med that made me sick just a few years earlier, this time it came from a different manufacturer and I did not get sick this time. I did some research and discovered that I was getting ill from the junk they use as a filler. So I have asked my pharmacist if he could possibly get me the one that does not make me ill and so far so good. He has been very good about making sure I am only given the one that does not contain the fillers that make me ill. But there are times when I question if there is actually any of the main ingredient in my script. I can take 45 mg and go to sleep. That is not suppose to happen on this med. Anyone else question if they are being given amphet?
