I have not seen any information in my research on a substance called Diclopamine and wonder if it may be a misspelling for Dicyclomine or Cyclopamine?
Dicyclomine is most commonly known for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
It works by relieving muscle spasms in the G.I. tract by blocking the activity of a certain natural substance in the body.
Drug Class: anticholinergics
Cyclopamine is a naturally occurring chemical that belongs in the family of steroidal alkaloids. According to NIH.gov, Cyclopamine has both teratogenic and antitumor activities. However, on a cautionary note, it has also been stated that Cyclopamine is a teratogen isolated from the corn lily (Veratrum californicum) that causes fatal birth defects.
I hope this info helps!
