Dexilant 60mg Dr

how long do i have to take this drug. will i always be sick and have a stomach ache? it stoped the diareeha but not the stomach ache. now im constipated and norco helps stomach ache but makes the constipation worse

How long have you been taking it and what are you taking it to treat?

Dexilant contains the active ingredient Dexlansoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to help reduce the amount of acid produce by the stomach.

If you had some condition, such as an ulcer, gastritis or other medical issue related to excess acidity, it does take time to heal. Usually these medications are prescribed for anywhere from 4 to 16 weeks, depending on the severity of the condition.

And no, you most likely won't always feel sick and have a stomach ache, but as I said, the medication does need some time to work and do its job.
