Detecting Valium In A Blood Test Not Urine

I was told by a lab it metabolizes in 48 hours. True or not?

I took valium at 10pm Saturday as well as Monday at 7am. Then I took a blood test at 9:20 am. Will it still show in my blood high or low? What is the half life of a valium?

Valium (Diazepam) has a half life of close to 40 hours. So for it to be metabolized and mostly cleared from the system is probably more than a week. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news tammy, but I definitely think it would be in your blood if they are testing for benzodiazepenes.
