Hi, I have been on nur-istarate for the past 3 years and now I want to get pregnant. How long does it take to wear off and get out of my body? I took it from 2010 until 2012. Please, I need ur help.

Hi verwon, i've been off to my shot for about 3 to 4 years now. I'm so scared that I may be infertile, because in 2009 I got a miscarriage and I did clean my womb, and I went to the clinic for my first shot, immediately after my miscarriage. When I'm on my period I have this blood jelly clot coming out and dark red menstruation. Thanx for the reply.

How big are the clots?

Bright red blood with clots usually just means that you're a little high in estrogen, but it's not generally something to worry about, unless the clots are egg sized or bigger.

As to being infertile, I doubt it, if you were pregnant before, but only your doctor can give you a definitive answer.

Hi,verwon my blood clot are small,dark red and I feel cramps when they're about to come out,my cycles are also long,they're about 46 to 48 days I'm scared that they might be the cause of my infertility

The shot could also be affecting the length of your cycles and, if it's boosting your estrogen levels, the clots are a normal side effect of that.

There's no way to know anything about your fertility, while you're still on it.

Have you tried going off of it, yet?

It usually takes a couple months for things to balance back out and for you to ovulate, again, in order to get pregnant.

As listed by the FDA, you may experience some minor withdrawal effects from stopping it, which may include nausea, weight changes, irritability, irregular periods and PMS-like symptoms.

How long have you been off of it?
