I am interested in any use of danaparoid during/after pregnancy (incl. breast-feeding) and for children up to 17 years. Information on what it was used for, its dosing and duration of administration, good and bad outcomes up to 6 weeks after its discontinuation would be very welcome.

Hello, I am a physician and my reason for my request about danaparoid use in pregnancy and children stems from the fact that for 30 years I was responsible for the clinical development of this antithrombotic. Although retired since 2000 I retain an interest in collecting all published data on the drug so that I can update information I give in response to requests. In addition I also publish at intervals overviews of its use in specific patient groups, i.e. heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, pregnancy, children and kidney failure because until now little information in these clinical situations is available on which to base advice. So all experiences good and bad are welcome to enable me to update the data-base and better assess the value of the drug. Thank you, (Dr) Harry Magnani
