Cymbalta Anguish (Top voted first)

Cymbalta is the drug from hell as far as I am concerned. I spent almost a year and 4 failed attempts trying to get off it. It was prescribed for a pain I was having and it didn't even help with that. I was at my wits end until my G.I. specialist recommened I see a psychiatrist really trained well in Psychopharmacology. I am now making headway but I will not consider it over until I am off with no side effects. I would join any class action law suit if one was formed. I had many bad side effects. Relative to the bad taste, I felt like a dump truck emptied its contents in my mouth.

Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, which is an SNRI antidepressant, this class of medications can sometimes help with certain types of nerve pain.

AS of yet, I know of no class action suit against the manufacturers.

I am very sorry for what you've experienced, but there is no way for your doctor to know, ahead of time, what problems you may have with any given medication, if any.

i am on cymbalt for almost a year now this month. started on 30mg then 2 months ago on 60 mg .i have no side affects i am aware of ..can you give me more details as to what to look for . i have no problems with bad taste or anything like that . thanks and good luck sharon

It has been impossible to get off of this drug Cymbalta! I think Eli Lily should have listed the side effects of coming off of Cymbalta. I know people that slowly reduced the mg down to 10 mg over many months to wean themselves off of it, I have yet to see if anyone is able to get off of this medicine. I am on day 7 and I keep getting this "zapping" sensation in my head, ears, and eyes, dizzy, confusion, I feel like I am in withdrawls. Is horrible. Does anyone know anyone who has gotten off this drug successfully? If so, how long did it take and how did they do it. Thanks

hi once again . i say i am on cymbalta and dont think i have side affects. i think for me it took the darkness away . like a light was turned on for me . the fibromyalgia is the pain i have ut i also had complete hysterectomy in 1999 and was on hrt for 11 years and had to go off it. . so i am missing the hormones my body produced. i guess every one is different . and also what is going on in their life and how they feel etc. i am available if any one wants to talk about it . so right now i am ok with this ...
