Coumadin And Cranberry

Getting conflicting info on cranberry juice or AZO tablets and Coumadin. Don't want my 83 yr. old mother to get another UTI. Just got out of hospital from having one. Can't decided if it's ok to give her cranberry juice while taking Warfarin.

So far, clinical studies have shown no danger in consuming cranberry products, while taking Warfarin, but it's always best to double check with one's doctor to be sure.

The FDA classifies Coumadin as a blood thinner and its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and easy bruising.
