Correct Amoxicillin Dosage

My daughter is slim, 40 kgss, prescribed 1000 mg amoxicillin twice a day for tooth pain, is this too much

How old is she?

Past the age of 12, it is usually dosed according to the severity of the infection, prior to that, it is dosed by weight.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

That is not, however, a dangerous dose. That amount can be prescribed, if necessary.
