How many hours must I not consume dairy before taking 0.1mg of Eltroxin?

My doctor and pharmacist advised me that dairy products should be avoided for 4 hours before and after taking this medication and should be taken with a minimum of 1 cup of water.

This medication should be taken on an empty stomach, in the morning, half and hour before eating or drinking anything other than a glass of water.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, hair loss and weight changes.
