I been on methylphenidate now for 7 years my psychiatrist has been prescribing it to me now for 7 years and for me taking concerta is like putting on a pair of shiny clean glasses and I can see more clearly. I was on 36mg concerta and thought I might ask my dr to drop the dose to see if I could get more out of it and I did I have now been on 27mg concerta and I have noticed a massive improvement I'm not so jittery, impulsive, don't talk as much as I used to, my behaviour is more mature and I feel so proud of myself. It's been 4 months now on the dose drop fr
36mg to 27mg and i feel more like myself again and the concerta helps me to focus concentrate and function with my add

Wow, Claudia! That's fabulous and I'm so glad that the lower dose is working so well for you.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nervousness, headache, insomnia and anorexia.

Has anyone else done better with a lower dose?
