Comet 500 During My Periods

Doctor prescribed comet 500 trice daily for my hormonal imbalance. But now I'm in my periods. Should I stop taking this during my periods?
I feel that taking this during periods, my periods don't last for 5/6days which is my normal cycle days. Always I took this during periods my period stopped within 3days. So what should I do?

You should take it regularly, as prescribed by your doctor, during your periods, as well as other times. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, flatulence, and low blood sugar.

Are you on any other medications? How long have you been taking it?
