If you are allergic to codeine would you be allergic to tramdol?

Hi Vanessa,

According to addictionblog.org, Tramadol does not contain codeine. "Tramadol is a synthetic drug. This means that Tramadol is created in laboratories and is the result of chemical reactions. It is NOT a natural product, like codeine, and is called an opioid due to its chemical make up."

That being said, you shouldn't have an allergic reaction to Tramadol, but everyone reacts to medication differently so I would definitely speak with your doctor before taking it.
