Clotrimazole Cream Expired 11/2009

Is it harmful to use expired clotrimazole cream for Serious Red Rash in Vagina with expiration date: November 2009 ? I would believe it is but my friend says NO.......

Yes, you are correct and it shouldn't be used. Creams tend to degrade fairly fast and usually contain oils that can go rancid with time. Thus, trying to use one that's this old to treat a vaginal issue could just end up making the situation worse.

It is best to use a new cream that is still fully potent and within its expiration date.
