Clopidogrel,cramps

I have been on clopidogrel for 8 years after insertion of a stent. During this period I suffered the most painful cramping in my feet, legs and arms when performing moderate exercise. I recently visited my heart specialist who suggested that I may no longer need to take clopidogrel as a recent angiogram showed no significant blockages in my heart. I ceased taking clopidogrel and no longer suffer any cramping. The suffering I have endured for 8 years while on clopidogrel should be a warning to others. If I had been able to exercise without cramping it may well have been as beneficial as taking this drug.

My medications are the same as before minus the clopidogrel. My cramps were horrific and felt like my muscles were tearing apart. Have not had any cramps since I ceasing taking clopidogrel.
Hello, Bill! How are you doing? Wow! That's terrible, I'm glad you finally figured out what was causing it.
Muscle aches and stiffness are known side effects, as listed by the FDA, but not cramping like that, though I supposed the stiffness could lead to it.
Are you on any other medications? I'm wondering if perhaps there was more than the just Clopidogrel influencing your muscles.
