Clindamycin Phosphate Gel Expiration Date

Hello, I have a 1 year old clindamycin phosphate gel tube that I am considering using. My acne is acting up and I would like to know if it will still be effective if I use the gel one year later? Please advise.

It does not become dangerous, once expired, but it can start to lose effectiveness, so it would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, peeling, and dryness.
