Citaopram (Top voted first)

Hi I've been on 40 mg citalopram for just over 4 weeks now! I still feel totaly depressed and down I also suffer from health anxitiy , at the moment I think I'm going to go mental all over because I no someone that had paraoinde skitofenia (sorry can't spell it) now I think I've got that even tho the doctors have told me I only have deprresion and anixity and stress! I just wonderd if any one else is still feeling totaly depressed after 4 weeks being on medication (citalopram) ?? Also I keep having this weriod feeling in my head does any one else have this too? Any replys would be graitfull

I was also taking Citalopram and felt horribly ill and even more depressed than what I used to be, i spent most of the time in bed, they kept on increasing the dosage and I just kept on getting worse, my doc has now changed me over to Cymgen and I feel a lot better, but I agree with you fully I also felt like banging my head against the wall while on those tablets, felt like I was going off my head

Hi, Kate! I am very sorry about what you're going through. I haven't taken this medication, but I have also had several that caused the opposite of their intended effect and it was quite miserable. It does happen some times, unfortunately.

The best thing you can do is contact your doctor and let them know. You may not be on the right dosage, or it may not be the right medication for you to take.
