Citalopram Good Or Bad?

I've been on citalopram for over 2 years now. I can see I've put on weight (I was always very thin), low sex drive...however, I am now more confident and being able to deal with the pressures of my job (Media). I find myself being more assertive,confident and making decissions I could have ever dreamed of doing before. Now, my dychotomy is this: carry on taking the drug pretending to enjoy sex whilst being bloated or being a new, confident self and able to deal with anything life throws at me...help?

Alternatively....have you talked to your doctor about the issues? There are other antidepressants available that may still provide you with the same benefits, while minimizing the problematic side effects.
