Ciprofloxacin 500

if I cut ciprofloxacin 500 in half will it be the same as taking a 250 mg pill because 500 is too strong for me and I am ok with the lower dose.

You should take the dosage prescribed by your doctor. Why do you feel it is too strong for you?

Some severe infections require a higher dosage.

The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
