I have lung cancer, COPD, high blood pressure, heartburn, stomach pain, bladder pain and burning, urinary infections, and vaginal dryness and pain and yeast infections. I take pantoprazoloe, lisinop/HCTZ, symbicort, proair, Tylenol, and reclast infusion once a year. The bladder Dr. has given me chlord clidi for my bladder pain and burning. I am worried to take this as it is habit forming and if it will cause problems with my meds and health problems. I wonder if there is a better meds or something better to do for my problems.

Hi Sylvie,

Sorry to hear about your situation. According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there are no interactions listed between Librax (chlordiazepoxide and clidinium) & the following medications: Tylenol (acetaminophen) + Lisonopril/Hydrochlorothiazide + Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) + Proair (albuterol sulfate) + Pantoprazole + Reclast (zoledronic acid).

With that said, I don't foresee any signs of it causing problems with your other meds; however you should still discuss this with your doctor first just to be on the safe side.

Regarding alternatives, Librax is marketed to help relieve stomach spasms and abdominal cramps associated with peptic ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome - and luckily there are a large number of natural remedies for healing such conditions.

Umm.edu offers some useful tips for treating peptic ulcers here:

As well as a variety of options for treating IBS here:

I hope this helps!
