Chlorazepam
Updated3 Replies
i am using chlorazepam for one of my seizure meds. I am epileptic.I understand that this drug is only a sleeping pill.
Is chlorazepam used as a sleeping pill or is it an epileptic medication to. i take it but believe it does nothing for me.
There are two possible drugs that these posts may be referring to, the first is Clorazepate and the other is Clonazepam, both of which have very commonly misunderstood names.
Both are considered 'classical' Benzodiazepines, which means they are closely related and mainly treat the same conditions.
That said, yes they can both also treat seizure disorders, though they generally aren't the first choice to use for them.
You can learn more Clorazepate details here and more Clonazepam details here.
Do either of these seem to match what you're taking?
