does anyone know if you can use nicotine patches while taking chantix

Well they say you can still smoke while you are on it, because while it acts like nicotine does in the body, it doesn't have nicotine in it, so I would not see why the patches would cause a problem either, and there are no warnings not to do so, or of any adverse reactions in the monograph.

I was advised by my doctor to not use the patch while on chantix. I have been using the drug now for a month and have had great sucess in stopping. The drug takes away the jitters that I had in past times of trying to stop. The patch will only make it harder to stop and can cause nausia just like the pill that is given to those that are alcoholics. I did not use any nicotine stop smoking aid this time.

You should not use patches with Chantix or any other aid.
