Changed 10/325 M523

Got someone with these and she thinks they have been remaking them. Is there a way to check them to see if they are the original formulation?

Where did she get them? If they are from a legitimate U.S. pharmacy, then she shouldn't have anything to worry about.

The tablets with the M 523 marking are manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

However, if they are from some other source, the only thing she could so would be to pay to have them lab tested somewhere.

Get A lab test somewhere? That hardly seems like it would change anything except to solidify the fact that there's something fishy going on at Malliinckrodt. I've been taking Norco (oh yes, it's habit forming) for several years for severe arthritis. Because it's so habit forming I've stuck to the exact dosage per day so I don't run out early. Yes, I've also heard your body gets use to the "high" and causes a dumb person to take more than prescribed. This isn't true, in my case anyway. And I only take it so I can move about my day. The point of all this is to say: Last Saturday I ran out of my Norco....750/325....right on schedule. My daughter was helping me at the family ranch over the weekend and volunteered to go to town and pick up my Norco for me, among other errands. She took my script to the pharmacy she uses rather than the one I use. Got it home and I took my prescribed 1 tab with 4 250mg ibuprofen.......like always. I could move still an hour later, it seemed to be ineffective. By the noon hour I had taken my whole day allotment, with very little relief. I betcha somebody figured they should cut costs by leaving out most of the active ingredient. Take it to a lab somewhere?????? I'm calling the DEA As soon as they open!!!

I need to post a correct, I mistyped. These tablets contain 10mgs of Oxycodone, not Hydrocodone.

Thus, they are actually a stronger narcotic analgesic.

I was answering several posts that day about these medications and lost track of which one was which, thus, I apologize for my error.
