UpdatedIS BUDEPRION THE GENERIC FORM OF WELLBUTION? I HAD BEEN TAKING WILLBUTION BUT RECENTLY WAS CHANGED TO BUDEPRION. I AM FELLING DEFERENT, MUCH THE WAY I FELT BEFORE I STARTED EITHER MEDICATION. WHY?

Yes, that is the generic form. There are several reasons you could be feeling different from taking a generic version, first of all, generics can differ, under law, from the name brands by as much as plus or minus 20%, so if the company making your generic does not have good quality control, you may not be getting the maximum dose that worked best for you.
Another reason could be due to the different inactive ingredients, the binders and fillers that are in the tablets. While these are considered 'medicinally' inactive, they can still effect some people in different ways and can cause some drugs not to work as well for some people.
I would recommend talking to your doctor, if you browse these boards you will find several other posts from people who have been switched the generic versions and who are having similar problems.
Discuss this with your doctor, if your insurance covers it, they may be able to make your scrip 'brand medically necessary.'
You could also try asking at your pharmacy, or checking others in your area, as they might have generics available that are made by different companies that might work better for you.
