Cefpodoxime Side Effect

I have been prescribed Cefpodoxime 200 MG for 10 days i am half way through my prescription and now I am developing an itchy skin rash. Is this normal and what can I do to treat it. The rash is on my forarms, shins and thys, and belly. Please advise.

An itchy rash should be checked out by your doctor, because that may be an allergic reaction to this medication, as reported by the NIH.

Typical side effects are listed by the FDA as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
