Cefdinir & Penicillin

I'm taking cefdinir for an ear infection. Also i have 5 teeth that need cut out and I also have a bad abscess. Can I take penicillin too for the abscess?

You should take them both, if your doctor/dentist has instructed you to do so. Multiple antibiotics are often prescribed to treat particularly severe infections, or those caused by differing bacteria.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Has there been any change?
